Job Interview Advice That Works
This job interview advice will attempt to give you some valuable pointers that I have learned over the years on not only how to acquire the interview but how to get through it with flying colors.
If I was looking for some job interview advice or a job interview tip on how to find a job and get the job, I would want to take advice from someone who has "been there and done that" to use an old worn out cliche.
Folks I have been on the other side of the fence.. butterflies and all wondering whether I really had what it took to win those cronies over and take home the job.
After having an absolutely perfect track record at getting the interview and winning the job I knew that there was something that I had to be doing right.
First and foremost.. if this job interview advice sounds like I am bragging them please forgive me. I have been extremely successful but my motivation is to help you rather than to make myself look better than life.
Here comes the best job interview advice you will ever hear..
I always do research on a company I am wanting to work for. I get online and settled in with my favorite search engine such as google or yahoo and find everything I can get my hands on about xyz company.
I wanna know about their products, recent developments, accomplishments and milestones, their mission statement, their leadership, their status in the stock market and anything else I can possibly find.
This information alone is like gold nuggets!
Imagine being at the start of an interview and you are smack dab in the middle of the small talk session where the HR guy is sizing you up while you pretend you are not nervous.
This is your opportunity to show your future employer that you have done your homework. Casually mention something meaningful that you have learned from your research and watch their eyes light up!
It will impress them everytime - I guarantee it. You will rise way above the 99% of the other guppies who know absolutely nothing about the company.
Other very important job interview advice.......
You must master the art of playing copycat. Yes, I did type what I meant.
Employers are people just like you and I are and people tend to like people who are like them. Having said this we know that body language is very important especially in an inteview. If the guy interviewing you is sitting in his high-back leather chair all straight and proper then it would annoy him if you slouched through the entire session.
On the other hand lets suppose your interviewing person is a very relaxed kind of guy (or gal) then it would make them uncomfortable with you if you sat through the whole session as if you had a board in your back.
Now do not take this too far and make it obvious that you are mimicking their moves but try to pick out their general personality and if you can match it to some degree it will go a long way in helping you get the job.
I will be adding a job interview tip every week or so until I have told you everything I know. this is a good reason for you to keep checking back.
Until next time take the job interview advice that I have shared and master it for maximum effectivity.
